game for the MLS Cup against Houston in a few weeks.....Kind of surprising that its so sudden but he's done a lot for this league so it'll be sad to see him go. I wonder if LA goes for Lampard then to fill his spot.

There was a thing in a newspaper in Australia that Beckham might come play in the A-League...for the right amount of cash........for ten games. Really no idea where he will go, and this is surprising considering LA announced a new contract for Beckham a few months ago.

ya well his reps' shot that report down though...idk why he'd want to go there personally...anyways yeah but it was an option year, so if he does retire though he can invest in a MLS team now.

He kind of wasted his late prime in a subpar league when he could have been playing in Cl quality teams.

Even though he's clearly no longer in his prime, he can still contribute. I would love for SAF to sign him up to finish his career as a Red Devil but it won't happen.

Personally, I am surprised to see him stick around here for so long, I didn't expect him to stay over a season. He did make alot of money, and maybe he doesn't like the celebrity status as much as he seems. People know who he is here, but I bet he could have a regular life more here than most parts of the world.
