Did the Raptors blow their opportunity?

Been watching the Raptors games so far this year, 13 games in and can't help but wonder if they blew their opportunity to win early in the year?

Out of the 13 games this year, I did not expect them to beat only 4 of those games, that being OKC, Dallas, Boston and Brooklyn(Debateable).

We have played Indiana twice(we blew an 8 point lead going into 4th quarter, won the other game, almost blew that too)

We have played Philadelphia twice(blew a 7 point lead going into the 4th(second game))

The Utah game I dont even want to talk about, blew 5 point lead into the 4th and out of all players, jefferson hits the 3 pointer lol.

The charlotte game, can talk about the foul all we want, that game should not have been lost and had our opportunities elsewhere.

Blew another opportunity to put the game away last night at Detroit.

Given the schedule we had and opportunities with the lead, do you feel that we had a pretty fair schedule to win more of these games? Based on the leads we blew and games we lost to the final shot, this could have easily been 4 wins the other way, meaning we should have at least have been off to a 7-6 start. Possibly even 8-5 if we had 5 wins the other way.

Did we blow a favourable schedule to start the season? I ask this because it does not getting easier in the next 13 games to compare. Check out the schedule:

The next 13 games, I can only see us winning another 3 games. Would like to hear peoples thoughts and opinions on how important the first 13 games were, if we blew it and what we can expect in the next 13 + rest of season

yea we blew games we should've won. I'd feel much better if we were like 5-8 instead of 3-10 but the fact that we suck in the 4th and can't close for jackshit is just frustrating. Close games will be the death of this team with getting outcoached, and players who are allergic to hitting game winning shots (Barfnani, Lowry, DD).

I don't think the schedule has been favourable at all. On paper, I'm not sure we should have won more than 4 games up to this point. Factoring in some of the early injuries of teams like Dallas, Indiana and Philly, maybe we could have won more but the consensus prior to the season starting was the first 20-25 games or so being absolutely brutal.

The past 3 games were major blown opportunities in games the team should have won IMO.

    First 22 brutal games...

if we end up around 8-14 or 7-15 i think it is still manageable
6-16 would be tough to catch up with the rest of the pack
    5-17 would be panic time.

Brutal schedule, Bad officiating and injuries are always the variables, however good teams don't put themselves in situations like the first 13.

It's just too bad we are not a good team.

People are hoping that we can even win a game against the Spurs and some are hoping that DD maintains his All Star status so yup there is still hope .

i dont think our core sucks i still just think were missing a key player.. which isnt easy to get in the nba .. we need a small forward.. either a big name or maybe even a savvy veteran with scoring abilities.. which really pains me to say someone like vince but i dont want that ***** back here... andrea is coming back around and he and Val play well together i think . DD is improving i feel and Lowry is gonna be Lowry (so really good).. amir, jose, Ed and Kleiza are solid bench players and we have Acy and Ross for the future.. we just need a big piece.. im just not sure how we could ever get it :/

Edit: and a new coach... and gm -.-

What do you guys seriously want out of a 9th overall draft pick, it's gotten a lot better lately with Derozan stepping it up. I swear though most people act like he was a top 3 pick, either A.) You don't think Derozan is part of the core.... or B.) No wait that's it.
]I may be acting like a Kidd, switch from team to team, now I'm getting Bucks and all I see is green. Call me what you want, image don't mean a thing to me, sign me for 5 or 6 mill and worry about my legacy. - Me

The season is long and the east is pretty bad after the top 6-7 so it's not hopeless to be in the hunt if this team can turn it around and play like they did in pre season and first couple games.

But they did blow a big opportunity to grab some more new fans with the NHL being locked out and a couple good rookies coming in. The worst part for me is already this early in the season and I'm losing interest and I'm a die hard fan, I don't think I've ever been more excited for a season to start and at the same time I don't think I've ever stopped caring so quick. Casey to me is the biggest disappointment, along with our bench which was I thought our 2 biggest strengths.

Some people stated that they expected this, but am I the only one that didn't. I mean I actually didn't think we'd start like this. hope it gets better soon as I was given some tickets but if this play continues I'll give them away and watch the games from home.
