    This blows my mind.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LL8FHwqDTs

This highlight reel literally makes me sick. Sanchez was never the greatest, but with the right weapons around him he could make big plays. How our receiving core went from edwards, holmes, keller, and cotchery to kerley, hill, keller, and schillens is honestly unbelievable. I know holmes went down with the injury and cotchery was iffy with his back, but those first two years of sanchez and ryan, our team had something special. Whatever that is, it is gone and now jets fans get to sit back and watch another rebuilding period. I dont post on here a lot but I just thought the more people say stuff in these types of forums maybe theres a small possibility something will change.

That was something special watching Tannenbaum load up on the offensive side of the ball for Sanchez' first two years. I think everyone needs to relax, though, on the rebuilding talk. We lost our two best players to injury this year and with them, who knows what our record would be right now?

This is why it's so annoying to have the haters keep insisting that Sanchez can't throw a deep ball or hit receivers in stride.

He can when they run good routes, and are where they're supposed to be.

I found another highlight reel you all might like. This Qb's hit wr's in stride and deep all the time on the reel also.

watching highlight reels are how the raiders and jets F.O. must have drafted .

But I have to agree with you all.....No idea why they took those weps away from Sanchez. Especially Edwards and Cotchery.

Edwards showed/played more like a JET than Holmes ever has or will.

    makes perfect sense.

Difference would probably be that many of Sanchez's were in games that matter....... But the whole offense clearly isn't working and Sanchez will be back, so we need to do something different next year. i.e. fire staff and GM and fill in some holes.

This proves NOTHING. He wouldn't have been a top 5 pick if he didn't have talent. That talent has allowed him to make some plays, but that's not the issue. The issue is that he seems to have no idea how to make basic reads and understand what the defense is doing. He is the worst decision maker in the NFL. If this were just a matter of putting talent around him he'd have a higher career QB rating than 73.7. If this were just a matter of giving him better teammates he'd have a better completion percentage than 55.3%. At his current pace he will have thrown 68 interceptions in 4 regular seasons. For god's sake he has 39 fumbles. At his current pace he's going to come close to matching Michael Vick's 45 from his first four full years as a starter. MICHAEL VICK! Are you going to blame his teammates for him failing to hold onto the ball? Are you kidding me? This is not a coincidence people! Accept the fact that we have a HORRIBLE quarterback! Are there other problems on this roster? Absolutely. But stick a competent quarterback on this team and we'd be at least decent. Stick a competent quarterback on the 2010 team and we win the Super Bowl.

The issue with Sanchez isnt his technical skill. Is his emotional fragility, poor concentration, and lack of football intelligence.

These highlights hit me harder. Look at how Mark has passion when he's playing. Look at him running around on the field, acting like he cares. I dont know why he ever changed. I know during losses he acted like a baby but him being stonefaced regardless of the result is horrible to endure.

The only thing worse than watching Mark change into the "dont give a ****" demeanor is watching Rex turn from a brash fat head coach into a skinny confused puppy. The whole mood of this team is completely different from the team it used to be. Personally, I blame the fans for always crying about how Rex was too big of a loudmouth. Hope you guys are happy with what we have now instead.

Dude this is something no one ever talks about. Do people even remember how he acted when he was a rook and a sophomore? So much confidence, so much energy, he was never gun shy, his feet were amazing, and he would avoid sacks and make plays consistently all the time. This team cut his balls off in year 3, why? Actually, this team cut his balls off in that Raven game where Mangold was out. They killed our QB when the offense was playing well. If you watch the highlights, there is a huge difference between the Russel throws and Sanchez throws. How many TDs did Russel have because of poor tackling and his WRs YAC? Those aren't even all of Sanchez's big highlights, did they even incorporate a season where he had 32 total scores?

He fumbles, one major problem with him but its not like we have had a good line at all in the past 2 seasons. We arguably had the worst 2 RTs back to back in history. Interceptions? How many clean interceptions does he have? Not that many compared to most and he has always had crap weapons. When you are missing scrubs (I am too) like Edwards and Cotch you know its bad. This organization killed a bright career. My fear is that we will kill next young QB too because of Rex.

One word that perfectly describes Sanchez, and I am quoting Fatcessa... Sabotaged... he looks like a zombie out there the past 2 seasons, this kid use to be the most confident and energetic QB I have seen... Those two seasons were the best two seasons in my jet life, wtf happened?

I know a lot of people will disagree but I don't think we need to rebuild. I think we need to put our balls on the table and sell out for playmakers. With Mr T on the hot seat maybe he will be willing to go for broke.

I don't care if we get only like 5 picks in the next 2 years as long as they are play makers. And at least one of those a running back and probably 2 LBs and we are a much better team. I know it all seems terrible now but a play maker on offense changes most the games we have been in.

And I am not giving up on Hill but we also need a big playmaking WR.

Also I agree with you guys. But In ever want to go back to that same ole Jet mentality. We needed Rex and people *****ed and moaned through 2 AFC championships like we were to I'll mannered for a ball. What a coincidence that the locker room went to **** when Rex stopped being Rex. I hope this season put him on thehot seat (but not fired) and snaps him out of it. If he knows he is gone either way maybe he will just be him.

This. Sanchez has ability but with this group of weapons, he's very limited. And everytime someone makes a bad drop or runs the wrong route, Sanchez's confidence goes down. The guy needs to toughen up but our offense is truly atrocious around him.

I totally agree that, while he was never great before that game against the Ravens, he hasn't been the same player since. He took a beating and as the game progressed I remember thinking that he was disappearing before our very eyes. Since then, if he gets hit once in a game, he is finished. He can't run nor hide from the memories of that Ravens game. He is a scared little boy amongst men, monsters of men and until he can recover mentally he will be damaged goods as far as I'm concerned.
