Rose was the first guy that popped in my head when I read the title. Just crazy career numbers.

Things will always work out in the end, but if you want them to turn out a certain way... You need to make it happen.

A couple of guys that come to mind besides Rose and Jackson are Lou Whitaker and Albert Belle. I know Belle was a DB and the writers hated him but he put up big numbers every season it seems. I know he had a short career, but it was the same length as Kirby Puckett's and he was a better offensive player IMO.

Puckett shouldn't be compared with for hall of famers. His career was cut short by vision, and by the numbers alone he would never belong. He was put in for sentimental reasons by the voters....not his numbers.

I'm going to be a homer and say Lou Whitaker. I'm pretty sure that isn't too crazy though if you look at the advanced metrics.

It's not crazy at all. He clearly belongs in.

I think eventually a veterans committee will put him in.

Top 50 player to ever play the game, and we have over 200 hall of famers. That should give you an idea of the travesty of his exclusion.

Sweet Lou, Bobby Grich, Alan Trammell, Larry Walker, Rolen, Beltre, Raines, Lofton, Edgar, Dwight Evans.

Of those guys I'd wager at most four will get in - and it could take another 35 years.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

No, he's in the same boat as Murphy. Neither is going in.
