    for those that want to argue against Curt Schilling. It's interesting to point out that he has the greatest K/BB of all time.

    Schilling's rate stats, playoff performances, and unordered peak puts him well into the middle of the pack among HOF pitchers.

    He's a sanctimonious jerk, but he's still clearly a HOF.

    6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

    Some jerks never learn.....

    It's the same thing as taking greenies and throwing spit balls.

    Don't rock the boat. Nothing needs to be taken into account but the NUMBERS, silly.

    Best Player not in HOF

    Either of current players (players still playing) or players in the past up for nomination, who do you believe will be the best player to not eventually make the hall of fame?

    To not eventually make it?

    Because Bagwell, Bonds etc will all eventually make it most likely.

    That will never make it?

    Jackson and Rose are one discussion point

    But of eligible players;
    Lou Whitaker probably if I could name only one.

    Pete Rose by inifinity... I know that doesn't make sense but neither does Pete Rose not being in the Hall of Fame.

    Gil Hodges?

    With Alan Trammel, Lou Whitaker, Larry Walker, Bobby Grich, Tim Raines, Edgar Martinez not in?

    Hodges is pretty far down the list, like Omar Vizquel territory.

    Since Carlos Beltran won't make it, I'm going to go with Carlos Beltran. Carlos Beltran is awesome and was even more awesome.
