Joe Girardi over Joe Madden as the AL East coach? Rivera needs a spot in the bullpen despite his advanced age. I'd take Jose Reyes over Jeter at SS. David Ortiz over Granderson at DH also. Depending on whether Ellsbury bounces back (2011 form), I'd take him over Melky.

Maybe because he hasn't taken a team into the second round of the playoffs yet. While Ron Washington has gone to the WS twice in 3 years.

Ron Washington had a lot more to work with. Bob Melvin basically turned a crap team into a division leading 94 win team

Really? I mean, I know it is Big Papi, but right now Granderson is hitting almost twice the amount of homers as Papi. I mean, what else is the DH spot good for lol

I don't think I'd go with Jeremy Hellickson as the 4th best starter in the division. I'd put Matt Moore, Josh Johnson or Hiroki Kuroda ahead of him. Personally, I'd put Jose Reyes ahead of Derek Jeter at shortstop as well, but I don't think many would agree with me on that one.

Ortiz is the better overall hitter. Granderson also benefits greatly from playing in Yankee Stadium.

Granderson also has the advantage of playing at Yankee Stadium. Ortiz is a much better hitter.
