Manning 2004 vs. Brady 2007

I'll take Manning's 04. I do think Brady deserves a little "extra credit" for playing a lot more cold weather/windy games and actually playing for something all the way through the season. Manning also had the added advantage of a stud RB in Edge and a deeper cast of options (Pats really didn't have too much past Moss and Welker, but Moss was just on another level that year). I think the stats say Manning easy, but context drags it a little closer IMO. Still say Manning, but I don't think arguing for Brady is the worst thing either.

From what I know, Manning sat out a lot of fourth quarters. Brady and the Pats were routinely running up the score (if I remember correctly). Manning's 49 touchdowns could have easily been a lot higher

EDIT: Just looked it up, Sorgi played in four games that year, so I'm guessing that's four fourth quarters. If Manning had played those and they were still agressive, he probably could have ended up with like 55 TD's

No. Projection is not proof or fact but speculation.

Before game 11 in Philly Brady was playing at a rate well past Manning. The weather got really ugly in most of the rest of the games that year. So adjusting the weather effects of Dome vs not Dome, Brady would come up to about 1.5-2 QB Rating points above Manning. Rate+ always sees Brady ahead of Manning

True but bags will tell you that Brady is much more endowed and its a miracle he can even walk. Soo that cancels out that. All kidding aside though for a quick sec. Brady just had a better year. The Job of a QB is to make points and win games. A near perfect season trumps Manning.

Not one of those guys that played for the Pats came close to the talent of Edge, Wayne, Harrison. The Pats D was only ranked 4th because of the leadership of Brady. This is one of those cases that the QB made the D better.

Ok I guess i have to explain it cause you simply dont understand how a QB as great as Brady who puts up the points the Pats did help the D. The Pats D was able to play with a lead. Brady made those points and directed the O to those points. Manning did little to help his teams. He handed the ball off to a RB better than anything Brady ever had.

All Manning did was handoff the ball? I guess a higher touchdown % and Y/A is just handing the ball off? Yeah for sure Brady made them get after the quarterback so well and force so many turnovers. Brady is practically a 12th defender.... If anything Brady should have impeded their yards against stat because the offense scored so much the other team is forced to pass more. But it didn't BECAUSE THEY HAD A GREAT DEFENSE.
