I'll take Manning's 04. I do think Brady deserves a little "extra credit" for playing a lot more cold weather/windy games and actually playing for something all the way through the season. It's more than extra credit, both Brady and Manning have QB Rating grades in the 7-8 point better range indoors rather than outdoors. That sweeps away Mannings year since so many of those games were in a Dome (9) and in friendly weather sites.
Brady played 2 games in Domes, and after game #6 when Morris was out for the season, had almost no running game at all (got killed in TOP and ran 5 less plays per game after). Before game 11 in Philly Brady was playing at a rate well past Manning. The weather got really ugly in most of the rest of the games that year. So adjusting the weather effects of Dome vs not Dome, Brady would come up to about 1.5-2 QB Rating points above Manning. Rate+ always sees Brady ahead of Manning
It's either a push or Brady is a bit ahead.
