    Woodson's Rotation

Does anyone have a problem with Woodson's actual rotation?

    I do. And I think it's a serious problem.

I think this short rotation is not good for this team in the long run. Kidd and Rasheed are playing too many minutes. 8-man rotation on the second night of a back to back? Really?

Kidd palying 35 minutes, Tyson 39 minutes (not too durable), Felton 39 minutes, and Carmelo 40.... that is too much right now. Injuries are sure to come this way, and if not injuries, then fatigue. I wouldn't mind this numbers come playoff time, but right now they're a problem.

I believe it is a must for us to use our depth in the frontcourt (Camby, Kurt) to keep Tyson and Rasheed healthy. We must play some big, taditional lineups because Melo won't be able to overpower everyone, especially our #1 enemy, the Miami Heat. He needs to be efficient at SF too.

And in the backcourt (Prigioni and maybe even James White) needs to get more burn. If we keep this up, we're gonna keep seeing fatigued closings on games and we'll be more likely to suffer injuries, especially with our older veterans. Felton going down would be a sure disaster for us.

    Thoughts?

I do agree that we need to start playing Melo traditionally with some teams. I understand you don't change whats working, but I wouldn't mind seeing Kurt playing the 4 a little. It might get us ready for Amare stepping into the offense. Kurt playing the 4 certainly wouldn't hurt our defense.

Actually I like the rotation....Camby is not 100% ....its still early so its trial and error....right now...but I see Novak sliding out and White getting more mins due to his defensive ability.

I agree. What the hell is the point of having one of the deepest teams in the league and using an 8 man rotation?
In reference to an exhibition game hosted by Under Armour in which Will Barton scored 72 points:

Camby needs to become part of this rotation.

By his pissed off look on the bench during games, it doesn't seem its his health preventing him from seeing the court.

Right, and when you consider the age of some of the key contributors of this team, depth is not a luxury but a necessity.

No!! Things are great right now; just want to sustain it. Kidd should not be playing 35 min a night.

I agree. If Woodson gets stubborn (as coaches have a tendency to be), and we get tired and do terribly towards the end of the season (and in the playoffs if we get there), then Woodson is to blame.

We're deep, and there is no reason for the constant 8-man rotation.
