Anyone else go and see it tonight? i saw with 2 friends and I thought it was a pretty good movie. It's my favorite book of all time so I was hoping it would be and I thought it was haha.....Its been getting mixed reviews I guess by reviewers.

was it better than the last two great gatsby movies? the one with paul rudd was great because paul rudd is the GOAT of acting lol

The combination of Baz Lurhmann and the music in the trailer make me instantly hate this without even seeing it.
Music is pretty good and I'm sure it's going to be technical but it's not the type of Gatsby movie I want to see.

I loved it. Great acting, loved the music and visuals for the most part. Not sure what the critics are complaining about.

I liked it, but I'm extremely bitter that they opted to put ****** rap music in when the '20s had perfect music to set the mood for the movie.

Yah, I'll never understand that. The whole point of the book is to illustrate the effect of the jazz era on the characters and using rap is inconsistent with that theme. To me, this movie looks like Moulin Rouge on steroids, but I'll still see it. Originally Posted by manbearchef

Yep not even gonna waste my time. I love the book but don't like rap music or anything ever made by Baz Lurhmann.... I know that I'm gonna hate the movie the trailer made me wanna throw up.
