Bay is going to DH when Montero is catching. That is my guess. Unless we dont sign or trade for any other OF's, there is no reason for Bay to play the field. Unless maybe we want to convert him to a 1B LMAO.

I’ll tell you this: We are going to make the playoffs.” - Felix Hernandez
I thought about that a little. Essentially a Jaso/Bay platoon?
Which is the only thing that makes any kind of sense.
I just counted about 16 teams that he would be a #4 starter on, some of them where he would be #5, others where he may not be a starter at all.
If he were in a hitters park, he wouldnt be viewed the same. look at the road splits. 5.17 FIP, 5.03 xFIP for his career.
It wasnt just a down year. Away from home, he is a pretty bad pitcher.

Where the **** do you get that. Now you are trying to generalize and make me look bad.
On some teams, yes he is a 5. But he is a 4 to most. Read it again. I said there were 16 where he was a 4 or lower. Some a 5, some not even a starter. Then obviously a 3 or maybe 2 on some.
Am i supposed to specify what role he has on every single team?
Or are you implying every teams staff is the same? Either that or you know you are wrong so you resort to this kind of stuff.
Or you are just poor at comprehending what you read.

What are you talking about? You said it, not me.

No, you picked that one part out of a much bigger post. I said on some team he is a 5, most he is a 4.
Why does the fact that I said he is a 4 on some teams ignored? Because it doesn't fit what you are trying to do?
Why can I not say that, but you can say he is a 3 on most and a 4 on some? Isnt that basically the same thing? Oh yeah, cause you are stuck in a corner and have to try to fabricate stuff. Either than or you can't read.
Are all rotations equal? Obviously not. On average he is a #4.
Wouldn't you say that Upton is a 4 hitter? Probably. But is he a 4 hitter on every team? No.
Would you say Greinke is a #1? Probably. But is he a #1 here? Nope.
What you are saying is ridiculous and an obvious attempt to deter the attention away from you.

M's are reportedly involved in the mega-trade being talked about.

Most likely not for Upton though. He would go to Texas.
I wouldn't mind us getting Olt somehow. Maybe we would be sending Montero or Franklin somewhere.
I get the feeling Grenke is holding all this up.
Hadn't really thought about this...but it might be possible for the M's to get Hamilton and Swisher. If we facilitate Texas getting Upton, that basically takes away the biggest competition for Hamilton.

I wouldn't trade Montero for Olt.
