Okay obviously if he doesn't make any moves to upgrade this team and we blow dick he might be subject to be fired. Should he be? No.

The pieces he's traded for, drafted, and signed are starting to come together. Our team is extremely young. I wouldn't be all that surprised if they all just had really down years and came out firing next season.

Not giving in. I overreacted and didn't really think hard about it. I still think he needs to do something, but what they are saying makes some sense. If we don't win here soon and nothing happens, then something may have to change.

With this fanbase and idiot ownership, he could get blamed for even lower attendance if nothing happens, even tho it may be their fault.

If he stands pat, I can't say I will be happy.

You see holes in the two easiest positions to acquire talent. Which, I think they'll figure out this offseason.

Idea # 1:
The 3B market is pretty slim, but what do you guys think about moving Ackley to 1B and Seager to 2B?

Youkillis and Reynolds are the only big names I've really seen out there. And now that A-Rod is out, Yanks might make any 3B more difficult to get.

Seager has proven his ability to defend 2B and I think Ackley could hold his own, granted offensively he isn't the prototypical 1B.

Benefit to either Youkillis or Reynolds is that they both have played 3B and 1B. They both provided defensive options.

Market for Carlos Pena has got to be pretty slim this offseason. What do you guys think of a cheap deal to bring him in to compete for DH/1B role?

Why not just bring Youk or Reynolds in to play first?

If Ackley gets moved anywhere it's to LF. That'd be stupid to do unless Romero is mashing in a year or two, or if Franklin rakes and can't handle SS and 3B is blocked by Seager.

We have the flexibility to move Ackley and Seager but I would only move them for certain players.

Yup and I agree with u. It's about that time to put it all together and he knows it and has said all along he wasnt going to rush into anything until the prospects were ready and he could put it all together and have a competitive team. I remember he originally said 2013 would be when we will be competitive shortly after he was hired. He's stuck to his plan the whole time and hasn't buckled under the fans *****ing or the losing seasons, he's stuck to it and that's a good GM IMO. He made a run at prince last offseason and words starting to trickle out that he's in on everything this offseason. It'll happen it may be another year or two but this teams gonna be competing soon.

Yeah but their projected lineups are laughable. I don't think I've ever seen them even close as far as the ms go. U go back and look at them over the years and u get a good laugh.
