i really think hamilton and morse adds not only make alot of sense but very realistic. tex prefers greinke, upton. we are the most signable team after them, and we could get morse w/out having to part with one of the big 3. im thinking pryor, smoak.

I love this team right here.

If Bay makes the team, especially as our 1B or DH, I think something went terribly wrong.

I also think Morse gets us nothing. Montero is already a right handed bat that doesn't have a defensive position. Morse is him but can't play catcher, plus there is no way Washington would want or take Smoak in return...

I'm still not sure if I would prefer Swisher and Hamilton or Swisher and Bourn.

Hamilton brings power and the ability to get on base.
Bourn brings defense, speed and the ability to get on base.

If Bourn declines offensively, he could probably at least still provide at least average defense.If Hamilton declines, he becomes useless very quickly. We could however, utilize the DH to prolong his production.

Hamilton comes with obvious higher upside offensively, but with a bigger drop of risk. I view Bourn as lower upside, but also with a lower risk of drop off.

Bourn would be a waste of $15M a year for this team. We need runs, and Bourn just doesnt create them.

Rather than spending unecessary money on Bourn, just sign one of Hamilton/Swisher and a pitcher, then trade for Morse/Myers/Butler

i dont see Bourn getting 15 mil. right now i think he would be lucky to get 10, and that may go down since people with CF needs are being less and less

Even though Myers is highly regarded there treating him like he is some established MLB Super Star lol asked the Rays for Shielders + more.

Agree about Bourn anything more then 10M is over payment, As great as Ichiro was i thought for his bat skills he got over payed when we gave him a 115M contract.

well Dayton Moore is a retard. Eventually they will make a move for some nice pitching specs or established pitching. and i believe they will more Myers before Butler and Gordon. plus they have a bunch of other young hitters already lol
