what in the hell is going on with this guy? he needs to realize this isnt 2006 and he isnt 22 years old anymore. this guy is starting to really irritate me with his play. every punt return is him catching the ball, stopping for a few seconds, and either running backwards for -5 yards or running out of bounds. this guy is scared to get hit and it seems to me he is scared of running north and south. and at receiver, this guy makes a catch and spins into the defender or runs around from sideline to sideline to gain 2 yards. at this point with him, i think we should get rid of him while he still holds any sort of value. i would have traded him at the deadline along with a draft pick for Jared Cook Jr. I think Hester needs to sit for a few games and let Weems take his spot at returner and have Bennett, who hasnt been able to get any looks or playing time, take his spot as the #2. we couldnt get worse at either position with those two and i think i just about had enough of watching Hester contribute nothing to this team. just my two cents.

Best case scenario (aside from him playing well) is restructuring his contract and relegating him to only playing on special teams... unfortunately this probably won't happen.

Devin is such a fan favorite so seeing him play for another team would be depressing.. you just kind of wish he would ride off into the sunset after running back a few more kicks

He has shown the ability to be a great route runner, has incredible speed and agility, yet he can't get open. What the hell?

Hester is a fan favorite and a record holder. We all can agree that he hasn't become the WR that we hoped for. With that said, we have to realize that his best return days are behind him. There is zero trade value for him on the market.

How long is that going to last though? At some point, if he doesn't get his stuff together teams aren't going to have a problem kicking him, just like the 49ers did last week or the Texans the week before. He's got start getting even average returns in order for teams to keep being afraid of him.

All it's going to take is one excellent return from Hester, and we're going to see teams kicking out of bounds. On KO, it's not going to happen, but on punts? If he takes one back, it's "oh ****, Hester's back" time.
