If we can have both League and this guy, we probably will have our 7-8-9 pitchers. I'm still not sold on Jansen simply because his volume of fastball pitches he throws. If we make the postseason and him being the closer than than League and this guy, we can see an early exit. If this Fujikawa guy can really pitch when he gets here, he can be the 7-8 guy until League loses his job. Some call Fujikawa as the Mariano Rivera of the NBL.

Jansen was great as the closer and is great in general...

I think this guy would pitch in middle relief at the start of the year if we get him

Although I can semi-agree with your statement just the volume of fastball Jansen throws might be a trouble during the postseason. i forgot what I posted before, but I think the percentage of total pitches Jansen threw last season was 95% fastball. Although I like his cutter, which Mariano threw majority of the time as well, i'm just not totally sold.

Absolutely agree. This will make our bullpen stacked with good to great arms. Belisario, Fuji, Jansen, League. Awesome. Next year we are going to challenge these damn Giants. I think this is going to be an intense rivalry again. The Giants unfortunately are no joke.

He has other pitches, but the problem is he doesn't throw it. So when he gets in trouble, ye really gets in trouble. I didn't say he didn't have other pitches, hence 95% fastball thrown.

It's weird, it looks like his cutter is so hittable most of the time, yet nobody can hit it

from my understanding it goes inside on a left hander (so they cant put a bat on the ball)

and it goes straight then away from right handers (more swings and misses)

the thing is it mariano and jansen have a natural cut, a lot of people try to replicate it and have no success
