Did Kobe Bryant Bet Gerald Wallace $5,000 That He’d Make A Free Throw?

    http://www.sportsgrid.com/nba/kobe-b...ree-throw-bet/

It appears so, at least. Last night the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 95-90, and in the middle of the game Kobe Bryant and Gerald Wallace (at least according to the YouTube uploader) got in a bit of a bro-off. An expensive bro-off. Wallace, who was presumably taunting Kobe, stirred him up enough to get him to open up his wallet and bet $5,000 on an upcoming free throw.

Because Kobe, as you probably know, doesn’t have any aversions to gambling.

Though we can only read his lips, here’s what Bryant seems to say:

“Make it or what? I’m at practice *****. How much you wanna put? How much you wanna put? Put five (hundred?) grand? Right here?
Again, according to YouTube, he made the free throw. And based on that wry smile, we’re inclined to believe it was good.

Pretty sure it was playful banter more than anything, I was wondering what that was all about.

in game banter...should be a non issue, even if Kobe does receive the money. Gerald was trying to get into his head in hopes he would miss the FT...trying to add a little more pressure to the situation...now if the bet that he would miss the FT, and he did miss it...

    Thanks for your contribution.

Now know that the road to recovery is a long and perilous journey. KobeObsessiveDisorder or KOD, is a very serious disease that can lead to harmful acts.

He shouldn't be punished, but the NBA should put out a warning for future reference. This type of stuff can't be going on.

I feel like Wallace is a PF he shouldnt have had to guard Kobe, he seems way to big for Kobe.
