    Edwin Encarnacion 2013 Season

What are people expecting from him in 2013?

Assuming Lind is still going to hit 5th, I'm not sure he will receive any better protection than he did last year, regardless of the additions we have had. Do you think he picks up where he left off or does anyone expect a little regression?

I'm curious what kind of money he would have received on the market had AA not locked him up.

If him and Bautista both play to their potential next year, I think our 3-4 spot is right up there with the best (Fielder/Cabrera).

I'm hoping he hits 35Hr's but will be very happy if he hits close to 30.

    I'd be cool with .260 .360 35 HR 85 RBI....I have a feeling EE will go off again this year though... .275 .375 40 HR 115 RBI

I expect him to have a similar season, but saying Jbats/E5 = Fielder/Cabrera is a bit of a stretch.

But what we can do is compare to the Tigers 1-4

    Jackson/Hunter/Cabrera/Fielder vs Reyes/Cabrera/Bautista/Encarnacion

And by the way, those pants, they belong to my dad.And they're not really pants,

I think he'll hit around 280 but with the 3 in front of him he'll easily get 110 rbi's plus. Homer wise anywhere between 28-35 I'm happy with.

I'll admit im a little skeptical on him which is why I still want a bat between him and Jose but hopefully he proves me wrong.

I'm hoping he does well enough to give Jose the protection he needs. If Jose sees some fastballs because of the combination of speed on base and EE behind him we will score plenty of runs. That's all I ask of him at this point. The numbers will work themselves out.

While I'm expecting some regression, the fact is that the numbers from last year came about because of a change in his swing, not some fluke. This leads me to think that he should be able to keep up a similar rate of production.

I think he found his swing, no thanks to Murphy, so I am expecting him to have another good year. But, I hope it wasn't a 1 off and pulls a Lind, Hill or Johnson. Really need him to deliver. Theres alot ridng on his performance, we do not need another hole to fill.

Bill James projected Edwin's 2013 season, it looks like this: .271/.359/.504, 31HR's, .233 ISO, .278 BABIP

I'll take that all day long, even if the 31 home runs are a little on the light side after a 42 home run season.
