    Malware/Virus Warnings

I go on this site with an iPad most of the time. I would click on a thread from the main nba page and it would link me to naughty site. This occurred 3 times. It's very disturbing that this has happened 3 times.

Any one else has had this problem? How do I stop it from happening again?

You will have to get some good anti-virus software and run a full scan and clean. If that doesn't work out you will have to visit your local nerd store and get them to clean it up.

It could be as easy as deleting the browser on your iPad.

Reinstall it, and see if the problem arises again.

Norm is correct Riv. Good luck getting rid of the virus. I had it once it was a mofo to get rid off. Try to use malwarebytes.

no my computer doesnt have a virus

That is a school computer and those are monitored and my schools computers dont have viruses because of the firewall and proxys and everything else the IT department uses

If anyone is wondering this is about the survey thread ad made

I would have posted this response in there but before i could respond to BMD he closed it on me so therefore i made a new thread

Now that i know its not a virus because of the computer i was using maybe i can get some actual support

    From the page source:

    Code:
    script>
        document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + (document.location.protocol == "https:" ? "https://sb" : "http://b") + ".scorecardresearch.com/beacon.js' %3E%3C/script%3E"));

Sorry Riv I closed it because of the trolling. I did have this same issue and it was a virus. Norm pointed it out as well. It's possible something happened on your school computer.

I merged your threads and opened the thread back up

    99.9999999% sure it's a virus type thing

I fix computers here and there for people. It's a dirty little thing IIRC.

I'm not 100% sure what I used, but if this isn't a PC you can mess with, it doesn't matter.

Has it happened on any other PC's you've been using PSD on?

I've had an issue with it as well only on this site and made a thread about it.

    http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/sho...d.php?t=778863

I've done research and No it absolutely is not a virus. Website posting with removal ways can actually hurt a computer by removing essential registry entries and windows files.

And yes I have a clean/virus free pc and it has popped up on one that has a fresh install of Ubuntu.

I have a link to an Administrator of a computer tech and malware removal forum saying that scorecard research is in fact part of statistic gathering for a site.

I'll pm the link to the forum to you BMD instead of posting it here.
