Interesting Facts About The Knicks Start To This Season

Hi guys! In celebration of the first respectable season in a while I've decided to put a few Knicks fun facts that you may have not known about the start of this Knicks Season.

-Knicks are the First Team in NBA history ever to get outrebounded in every game of a 6-0 start. (Interesting?)

-Knicks have went 8-1 for only the third time in franchise history. The other two were both Championships won in the 1969-1970, and 1972-1973 Seasons.

-Although early, So far 9 games into the season Knicks are 1st in the NBA in Points allowed, and Turnovers; Allowing an average of 88.9PPG and having an average of 10.3 turnovers per game.

-The Knicks are not just the NBA's oldest team,— according to the Elias Sports Bureau, they are the second-oldest assemblage in athletic history.

-Knicks hold an NBA record for making 43 three pointers in their first three games.

-Ronnie Brewer had a water slide injury at a young age, making him unable to extend his wrist all the way today. ---Because of this Brewer's Notoriously known for having one of the NBA's ugliest jumpers— Despite this, He's currently shooting a higher 3PT% than specialist Steve Novak. Brewer is shooting 41.7% from downtown. (Made 10 of 24 3's) Steve Novak is shooting 34% (Made 16 of 47 3's).

-NY has had fewer turnovers then their opponent in each of their 1st 9 games. Per Elias that ties 2nd longest start-a-season streak since '91

-JR Smith is playing out of his mind right now, Making 57.1% of his 3's converting the same amount of 3's as Novak (16 total 3 Pointers Made by Smith and Novak each) and shooting 19 less attempts than Novak (28 total 3's attempted by Smith). In addition to scoring JR is Averaging 5.3 Rebounds, Shooting an efficient 47.5% from the field, and contributing 1.7 Steals a game. (2nd to Kidd)

-Nine games early into the season, Tyson Chandler a 7'1 Center has one more block then 6'3 Guard Jason kidd .
Lol I thought the last one was funny.

    Thoughts?

I know its early but as a Knick fan I thought many of these were interesting

JR Smith needs to win 6th man of the year.

He has played like a top 5 shooting guard this year in the NBA.

I have so much respect for him.

RBrew shot is respectable to say the least can he sustain it? Can Shump do better?

Our rebounding worries me for the long haul!

Teams are forcing others to beat us when Novak is on the floor can he become that weapon again, JR is definitely doing his best to get him in the flow, does it matter?

My only concerns thus far, what an amazing start to the season!

Edit: JKidd is a BBall god!!!

Even with a sub-par Chandler and Novak, this team is winning. When those two get hinged and grooved, it'll be icing on our cakes. Not even gonna mention STAT and Shump in January.

The rebounding stat is hilarious. Its good that we were 6-0 while getting out rebounded but it also let Amar'e know we can still win games without rebounding.

Knicks will continue to get better. Scary for the rest of the NBA.
