    NaVorro Bowman

You gotta love one name titles for threads......anyways the point of this is to see how other people perceive NaVorro outside of my fellow Niner fans. We know he's a stud but I'm curious to see what you all think.

NaVorro gets over shadowed by Patrick Willis alot but in the reality of it all, Bowman is Willis' equal and actually out performs Willis in many games. I'm not sure if people knew that.

Willis even made the comment that Bowman is like a clone of himself. Which I thought was pretty cool.

In any case, it's not just this year, Bowman has been tearing it up for the Niners for a while now. Last year included.

So where do you rank Bowman?

Him and WIllis are 1a and 1b as the best Inside Linebackers in the NFL.

He's a top 5 34 ILB in the game, but he isn't better than Willis.

Willis isn't just the best ILB in the game, but he's an overall top 5 defensive player in the game and arguably the best defensive player in the game.

But due to overall positional value, and the lessening value of the need for a dominant ILB, he gets knocked a few spots to the elite shutdown CB, Revis and a pass rusher or two.

    But Bowman is up there.

I think when healthy: Willis and Cushing are the only two ILB's I'd take definitively over him.
Arguable is Daryl Washington and Sean Lee.

    Either way, he's a top 5 ILB.

You can argue he is the 2nd best 3-4 ILB in the game next to Willis.

Easily top 10, probs top 5.

Which is scary because they also have Willis who is the best ILB and one of the top 5 defensive players overall.

He's actually probably better than Willis in coverage and some other aspects of the game. That linebacker core is the heart of the Niners' defence, it's fun to watch those two in action. Not many linebackers I'd take over Bowman right now.

This thread should be an interesting read. It reminded me how I have a Bowman sig quote ready when someone said he wouldn't make AP in the future. Crow tastes better when fermented.

Considering they take Willis out and leave Bowman in during dime situations...I'd say that speaks very, very highly of Bowman

They won't get by Miami and they'll be lucky if they can beat Boston. So since you're so high on Rose, I don't see him doing any damage at all come playoff time.

This I would take Cushing over him but that's because I love him for some unknown reason. I may also take Wagner over him but that is purely on potential/homerisim.

Easily top 5 if not top 3.
