How are we tapped out already. I know money doesn't grow on trees but with the sellout crowds every night and winning not just 1 but 2 World Series. How are we not having a payroll of 160-170 million.

The Stadium will be paid off in the next few years and payroll will undoubtedly expand then.

I've been hearing this for the past 5 years.

As businessmen they are entitled to make money. I wish they would spend more as well but the giants should be able to field a winning team on 140 million dollars.

Some guy on KNBR was calling about the LF situation and Fitz chimes in saying, "What's Brett Pill doing?". Granted he did say "every now and then if you want a guy with pop", but they just got through saying how Belt should never step foot in left again. Do they not remember Pill in Chase Field?

You don't know what Ludwick will show up. He's been inconsistent.

Since his breakout with the Cards in 2008:

    2008- .299/.375/.591

    2009- .265/.329/.447

    2010- .251/.325/.418

    2011- .237/.310/.363

    2012- .275/.346/.531

A 2 year deal is pretty safe though.

I don't know. He had declining numbers the past three years up to the start of this season. Will he really put up good numbers like this year being 35 and 36?

You can say that about a lot of players if u look back the last five years. I think he would be a good bat in the six hole until belt is ready to move up. Then ludwick could provide pretty good production out of the 7 hole. Is he a great player? Absolutely not but the one thing this team has shown is that good clubhouse guys find ways to succeed here and ludwick was a very good teammate when he was here in st Louis.
