    Is he a candidate? Yes. Will he win the MVP? Most likely not, especially not over young stars like LeBron, Durant, or Howard.

    Realistic Candidate? No.

    Kobe is balling right now but it's only been 8-11 games.
    I think after 30-40 games his averages will be significantly lower then they are now.

    I think Lebron, Durant and even Dwight are more realistic candidates.
