D3 player scores 138 in game tonight

Jack Taylor, a sophomore guard for Grinnell, scored 138 points tonight in the Pioneers' 179-104 pasting of Faith Baptist Bible. Taylor shot 52-for-108 from the floor, 27-for-71 from three-point range and 7-for-10 from the line to knock Rio Grande's Bevo Francis and his 113 points, from the record book.

Taylor has scored 185 points in the Pioneers' three games.

Bevo Francis held both the NCAA and collegiate scoring mark, with his 113 points vs. Hillsdale in 1954 and 116 points as an NAIA competitor in a game the year before.

The record comes one year and one day after Grinnell's Griffin Lentsch set the Division III men's basketball single-game scoring record, as he scored 89 points in a 145-97 rout of Principia. Lentsch scored seven tonight.

David Larson scored 70 points for Faith Baptist.
    that's just unreal.

I don't even know how a team gets that many posessions in a game.

Word. I would never pass him the ball or I'll purposely do many 3 seconds in the key

I have to say that is most inefficient 138 points ever. How can someone hoist 71 3's!? Only shot 38% too. Someone on the other team scored 70...sounds my 5'9'' white *** could have put up 40 in this game!

I fully expected to be blown away by this and I am. I can't beleive it's possible to have such an average game put up 138.

I want to see a video of this ****.

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Colin Kaepernick walk into a bar... To watch Russell Wilson win the Super Bowl.

This dude managed to score 138 points without even shooting 50% from the floor or being kicked in the face by his teammates. That might be the real story here.

    71 threes taken?? Jesus Christ.

Sucks for the guy who scored 70 points on the other team.

They play that weird style where they basically let the opponent score lay ups then they go down on the other end and jack up 3's. Not a normal game. Still quite the feat.

Heres some video of him. Doesn't look half bad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm6f_iWEWtk suprised he didn't go to a d1 school.

edit: probably didn't get any offers because hes playing probably for a weak school and weak opponents, but it looks like he has the skill. should have went to a private school
