Dexter Fowler is awful defensively, BABIP lucky and coming from Coors Field. I want nothing to do with him.

CF in Wrigley for 81 games? Pretty sure Fowler will be just fine.

This might be a long shot, but does anyone feel like the A's would be a good trade partner for a Garza and Barney package. They would value the comp pick from Garza a lot and they have a lot of nice arms we could use.

Garza and Barney for Brett Anderson, AJ Cole/Sonny Gray and Ian Krol might make sense for both sides.

So as long as we ignore the .390 BABIP last season, the fact that Coors Field was his home park, and -12.9 UZR/150 career rating in CF, he sounds great.

Conveniently enough, that .791 OPS is smack dab in the middle of his career .882 at Coors and .698 away from Coors.

They are significant. However, even if you take away 20% (more than should be accounted for) of his Coors production, he's still a plus player.

Is he a perfect player? Not even close. However he still does present an opportunity for this front office to address CF that hasn't really been discussed yet.

Point is: I don't think Fowler is worth what he costs from the Rockies. He's hella overrated for the reasons I outlined.
