Kuroda not coming to the Dodgers

Yankees and Kuroda just agreed to terms on a 1 year contract, per Buster Olney

This means Greinke's chances of becoming a Dodger just spiked up another 10%. No way this new ownership goes through their 1st offseason without signing a legitimate effective SP.

    I really liked Kuroda too.

We are gonna need to go after Grienke hard now.

Kuroda was one of those guys who silently did well. He flew right under the radar and would have been a good pickup. Yankees made a decent signing (1yr).

    Exclamation Thank you Kuroda,

To all you brought to the Dodgers in 4 years. An exemple of professionalism, talent and efficiency. Always regular. Era close to 3.00, over 200 IP, etc.

But on the other hand, you are a lifetime .249 BAA and after allowing 13,12 and 15 HRs, you allowed 24 HRs, then 25 HRs as a Yankee.
I you will pitch well and wish him all the best (even if I am always happy when the Yankees loose), but 15 M at 38, when we are going to sign a young Korean, which will complete a 4 players rotation, with Billingsley and Lilly fighting to come back... and the cost of a draft pick...
    No, Soyonara Kuroda !
10-4 record at Dodger stadium !
    1-0 road record

Grienke at 5 yr 170 mil >>>> kuroda at 16 mil/year plus first round draft pick..

I've always liked Kuroda, but that draft pick really hurts to give up...

Greinke is not worth 170 mil for 5 years, nobody is; he won't get that much money.

I agree that giving up a draft pick makes this easier to get over. The one thing I really liked about Kuroda was he was willing to settle for a 1 year deal which I wish more pitchers would do.

May have to go big to ensure we get him. May not be right but if we want to build more than a contender we need to get these guys as well as building for the future. I see us attempting to do just that
