Knicks traditions...things we love about the Knicks?

Curious to know what our Knick faithful love about the Knicks?

For me it's this time of year. The Thanksgiving Eve game is my most looked forward to game every year. Chinese food , beer and the Knicks....its when I can get an idea of how good/bad our team will be and our rotation. And for me it officially kicks off the holiday season.

I have to admit it's the most excited Ive been about our team in a long time.

Note: It was very special what we did in 2010....beating Charlotte back to back at this time of year. We had trouble with Charlotte in the past before then. Amar'e and Felton was on that team that jump started a 9 game win streak and 16 out of 19 games.

Yea there's a lot of basketball left to play. I'm excited too but I mean Knicks playoffs are where it's at. Thanksgiving is a football day and a day to root against the cowboys.

I look forward to playoffs and the tradition of tough defense and tough teams. It was that way until Zeke and dantoni ruined our franchise for a few years.

Watching the first preseason game I guess would be it for me, first time seeing our guys in comp in months usually, tend to feel like christmas for me i get way too excited. Watching every summer league game like its game 7 of the finals might be one too lol.

My literal oldest Knicks tradition is watching Knicks games with my Uncle Greg.
He is the one who got me into the knicks when I was 10. That's 20 years ago. And we used to watch the games together because he lived with us.
So, it's always great to watch and talk Knicks with him on Christmas Day. Good times..... Very good times

An old, and rather weird tradition at my house was watching my dad spit on the television screen back in the 90's when the Knicks lost. I mean seriously, the guy would spit at the screen in disgust, it was a pretty odd reaction to a loss.

The game where Patrick missed that easy layup at the Garden against Indiana in the playoffs (that layup lost us the series,) he spit so much at the screen that I thought he was going through seizures. He's not half as passionate anymore about the Knicks, but it was a sight to see back in the day.

How can you miss that layup? I remember sitting in the chair for 20 mins in shock....season over. ....terrible way to end the season.
