There is a huge difference between contender and chance.

Think of it like mma or boxing the guy who is #2 is referred to as the number one contender.

They don't refer to the 8th guy in line as a contender. But he may get a shot.

2. One team you're dogging on now and the 9ers. Other then that you beat Philly, clev, carolina and dallas. Your schedule is a little tougher, but shouldnt act like your team has been beating the elite teams all year

Contender is usually reserved for the top 4ish teams. At this point the Bucs have more of a chance of not making wild card than they have making it. Hardly a contender.

In the NFL its not really about who is better. Its about who gets hot at the right time the bucs are hot right now if they can maintain this they have a shot to go in the playoffs and do damage. Only time will tell though
