Well by the time Amare is ready to play, we should have a clearer picture of whether or not we can maintain this type of offensive production. If we do, you can't just prematurely throw STAT in there hoping it will work, because we might never find that same chemistry again.

Putting kevin love with these guys is a joke. People say his team is horrible but they look as good without him as with him. He might have passed blake as the most overrated player in the nba. #kingofemptynumbers

What I'm worried about is that the Knicks will continue to decimate teams running Melo at the 4 and then hit a stymie when it's playoff time.

The playoffs are almost entirely based on matchups. If you matchup unfavorably against your opponent, then they have a huge advantage on you.

I know it's just one game but look at the Memphis game. The Knicks were absolutely manhandled in the paint.

This coincides with the fact that the Knicks are the 3rd worst rebounding team in the whole league.

I say run this lineup until the season ends in order to build a cushion for playoff seeding, but when it comes playoff time, more thought needs to be put into how to matchup against the opponent rather than just saying "Well, look at these stats over the course of the season (that happened to come mostly against teams that are not in the playoff picture) so no changes need to be made."
In reference to an exhibition game hosted by Under Armour in which Will Barton scored 72 points:

Don't do 'em like that! Aw!"

Knicks Grizz can't be looked at as the end all game. B2B on the road, off night....next game could be different.

This thread isn't about Kevin Love yet you keep posting about him, and repeatedly posting that Kevin Love doesn't belong with "these guys" is really hurting your credibility. The guy is an absolute beast, no one is calling him the best player in the game so relax.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Solid point, and I think that is already the plan. Woodson has already shown that he is comfortable mixing and matching guys up. Maintaining this lineup might be the most efficient way to get through the regular season. But after that ,I think when healthy we straight up have 12 guys that can be tinkered around with to set up a rotation that's customized for a specific opponent.

Well, I hope that's the plan.

Don't want to end up like the Bulls who steamrolled through the league and then had nothing to offer for Miami.

The good thing is that there are no teams out in the East that have a dominating frontline so I'm not really worried about that unless we make the Finals.

Miami doesn't scare me anymore. Their defense has gone to **** with old farts like Allen and Battier trying to guard the wings and guys like Reshard Lewis playing significant minutes.
