    Tigers release Ryan Raburn

    Tigers released INF/OF Ryan Raburn.
Not a big surprise, as Raburn was expected to be non-tendered. The 31-year-old batted just .171/.226/.254 with one homer and a .480 OPS in 222 plate appearances with the Tigers this season and will likely have to settle for a spring training invite somewhere. Nov 20 - 1:18 PM

In addition to releasing Raburn, Tigers add three players, pitchers Melvin Mercedes and Bruce Rondon, along with shortstop Dixon Machado, to the 40 man.

We should change this thread to a poll asking "will Raburn play in the majors in 2013"?

Yes, he will play. There is already an article on mlb hot stove rumors as him being a fit for the Marlins as a cheap backup consideration.

Thank the god lord above. Fortunately for Raburn, there is a market for ****** baseball players. He'll have a job

Favourite Raburn memory? Mine was his tying 2R HR against the White Sox in the 9th inning a couple of years ago. They were down like 8 or 9 to 0 that game. Then Miggy cam up and hit his walkoff HR:

My favorite Raburn memory was that one day when he got released.

My favorite from an entertainment standpoint, assuming i'm remembering correctly, he was playing 3rd base and made 3 errors in 1 inning.

He will for sure, but not wearing the D!!!!!!!

My favourite Raburn memory will be 2013 Opening Day, when his name is on a different roster.

As long as he's not signed there's still a chance Leyland could be a dumby and try to talk DD into giving him a cheap contract. Until he signs on the dotted line with a new team I'm not happy enough. lol

Raburn and Inge are gone forever.
It took 2-3 years longer than I expected, for this to happen.

Life is now good .... once again!
