I would choose JJ Watt, but I do like me some Von Miller. You can't really go wrong with either of them.

How's he a pass rush specialist when he plays every down? You switch Aldon Smith with Parys Haralson, 49ers pass rush is pretty enimic.
For what its worth
Von Miller 46 tackles 38 solo 13 Sacks 4 FF 1 PD
Aldon Smith 43 tackles 36 solo 15 sacks 3 FF
Aldon is playing every down this year, dropping into coverage a lot more. Coverage Amendola a couple times the previous week and Bradford didn't even look at him. One thing Smith needs to work on is getting his hands up to bat the ball down when he doesn't get to the QB...but then again he's always at the QB
With that said, I'd take Miller now, but in a year or two, give me Aldon Smith
Von miller just for the simple fact that his other guys around him other than doom, generate nearly 0 pass rush! Von is taking on double and triple teams nearly every time in Aldons sacks tonight he was damn near 1v1 every time!
I'd say Von miller bc he shouldn't be good in a 3-4 and 4-3 at his size with his well what his specialty was/is (was going to skill set but he's proven he has skills everywhere).
But I'll take smith in a 3-4. Von overall. And it's win win ..
Only guy I'd really ever say is the end all be all pick on D at his position is LT and maybe Prime ..if he stays loyal lol .
These 2 r close enough it's not a discussion it's just an argument .

Aldon smith, Von Miller, And Watt are all studs! cant really go wrong with any of them. i wouldnt trade Smith for either of those two and im sure broncos and texans fans would say the same about their respective player. pretty special pass rush class thats for sure.
Miller
Watt
Smith
However its not a 1, 2, 3. It's 1 a,b,c
Was Watt the same year as Smith and Miller?
Holy ****, that is an all time pass rushing first round.
Go Knicks!
All time

Von Miller... by a hair
So, you just make stuff up? Aldon is great against the run and he also drops back into coverage. He plays all downs this year compared to last year where he was only in to rush the passer. The one time you seen him play, yesterday against the Bears, he didn't have anyone to cover because of lack of talent on the field, he was going up against a garbage O line, and a backup QB. They just said might as well rush the QB with Aldon every down because the bears had nobody on offense that needed an extra guy in coverage.
Hard to say, Smith is still the more raw player, just now playing every down. But he's improving game by game. It's actually scary how talented and athletic he is.
But he also has Justin Smith mauling linemen which gives him perfect lanes to slash through.
