i posted this in another thread but just looking at the defensive talent of the 2011 draft is crazy...

    Von Miller
    Patrick Peterson
    Aldon Smith
    JJ Watt
    Ryan Kerrigan
    Corey Liuget
    Robert Quinn
    Akeem Ayers
    Bruce Carter
    Brooks Reed
    Justin Houston

There are some I am sure I am missing that should be named but thats a crazy amount of talent up there and theyre not even through two years of professional ball yet.

Has to be Von Miller, I imagine. Yes, Smith has all those sacks, but he's a pass rush specialist with a bunch of elite defenders around him. Miller is a much more complete player who does everything for his team.
Some WR's are divas. Then there's new Saints WR Kenny Stills

Von is a complete OLB. That's not something you stumble upon all that often.

Aldon is a pass rushing DE that's incredible in the rush, ok in run stopping. That player is a dime a dozen.

    This.

Do I think playing on a ridiculously stacked front 7 helps out Aldon a lot? Yes, but it doesn't really lessen what he has accomplished in a year and a half.

I think the scary thing about both players is that they haven't hit their ceiling.

Aldon Smith still has time to develop into a MORE complete OLB/DE player while Von Miller already has such a complete game already.

Regardless, we're seeing a generation of young defensive players that is one for the ages and I won't spend too much arguing one over the other because I'd rather just enjoy the show they put on.

    von miller or aldon smith?

Both are amazing. I would take Von just because he is more complete. Plus he doesn't have Justin smith grabbing two o linemen for that stunt that they do lol
