I would be very happy if Gibbons is the manager.
-He led a much less talented Jays team to an 87 win season
-He holds players accountable. Hillenbrand was a jerk and Lilly seamed to have no problem with Gibbons after the incident
-Gibbons was always a solid in game tactician.
-JP and Paul Godfrey were much bigger problems than Gibbons
-Gibbons is a second chance guy who has spent the past 4 seasons thinking about what worked and what didn't.

I couldn't be happier to have Gibbons back

Hope so. Besides that one nugget he doesn't give any other clue as to how he got this info.

2008 was also the season Mcgowan, Marcum and a whole bunch of other pitchers got hurt.
thats pretty good by my recollection. The jays had an above average to elite bullpen (near the end of his career). And you have to remember, our bullpens were makeshift (what i mean is that Richardi always signed relief pitchers, or traded for relief pitchers that were relatively unknown). We never really had any big acquisitions other than BJ Ryan. Scott Downs was a nobody before he got here , what happened to Justin Speier when he left... Gibbons was pretty good with what he was given

Somehow Wikipedia has already updated John Gibbons page to say he's currently the Manager of the Toronto Blue Jays. That's all I need.

lol, I can go on wikipedia right now and make John Gibbons the manager of the ****ing yankees if I wanted to.

I'm not saying he's not the manager but sourcing wiki doesn't really add to the credibility here

Wonder who they can get as bench coach for Gibby. I believe Ernie Whitt was his bench coach as well as Butterfield for a year.
