Someone needs to take Lind to the back yard and just shoot him already...

The Jays need to find a legit DH to bat behind EE...then the top 6 would be dangerous

Replace Lind and that lineup is fine. Maybe Adam LaRoche possibly.

I like how he sounds like he's just as excited as the fans.

But I like Lind behind EE and in front of Lawrie. I think he'll do well this year.

Gibbons also mentioned Cabrera will be near the top of the order in his interview on the fan, so the first 3 are entrenched.

Lind is a good hitter... in theory.
I would compare him to Andrea Bargnani. The talent is there but will it ever evolve into in-game success? Everyone in the organization thinks Lind is an above-average hitter.
That being said I would like to see the experiment come to an end. It's time for a change.

but if we put Lawrie behind EE then people will actually have to pitch to him.... put Lind there and EE is gonna walk every time..

I would have to agree with Lind in the 5 spot....for the time being anyway....when he's on, and he was in the 2nd half last year, he hits for average and power, which is what EE and Jose needs....and he would benefit from having Lawrie behind him.

Granted, if he goes back to his old passive ways, a mid-season replacement would definitely be in order....perhaps Cooper or trade.

As long as Lind is in a platoon in the 5 spot he should be fine. Please sign Jonny Gomes to platoon with Lind.

I don't mind Lind in the 5 spot as long as there is a right handed hitting platoon-mate. Even if they move Lawrie up to 5 against lefties and use Davis or Izturis at DH and move the DH spot down. Ideally a guy like Johny Gomes would be signed though.

I will let lind bat behind EE for two reasons. To split up the righties and cus Lind is a decent middle of the order bat if healthy. If he starts sucking we can always trade or move Lawrie up

Whatever the lineup is, I WANT THE PLAYERS TO WORK THE COUNTS!

This is the one thing most people on here know I stress -- work them, make the pitcher tired and get to the pen early.

If you look at Lind and Rasmus, most of their failures at the plate has been as a result of a decrease in walks -- I hope Mottola can work with these two and get them to work the count, especially Lind who he actually got to walk (shocking) in Triple A last year-- 15 walks in 32 games, helped him have an obp over .400. Obviously he wont have the same success, but he has potential.
