Who, when, and why? As small as the sample size is, Kaepernick shredded a top defense, but Smith has been dependable all season. Who would you rather see start? You already know my answer.

I've been one of the most ardent Smith supporters that there is over the years, but Colin Kaepernick has to be our starting QB going forward. If this was the Bills or Cardinals that he did this to, then I'd say stick with Alex, but he made the 2nd best defense in the league look like they didn't belong on the field. It's only one game, but he looked just as good as the elite QBs in the league (I'm not saying he's elite; just that he looked as good as the elite QBs in this one game). I'm in full support of Kaepernick being handed the starting position today.

Agreed. Can't really argue for Smith. CK was amazing. And he didn't even really use his legs. Scary when you think that he can also take off and go the distance. So impressive against a top defense

I think people are getting too up and arms over 1 game. Kaepernick had a nice performance Monday night in a fill in role, but a lot of QB's have done that over the years. Doesn't mean they are ready to be a full-time starter.

With that said, you have 2 QB's you can depend on. That is a nice problem to have!

I know. I almost feel disloyal, Smiths been my boy. Always loved his heart. It's like the GF you had a rocky relationship with, but she took care of you, then her smoking hot twenty year old, trust fund, vacuum mouthed, vibrating *****, beer flavored nippled friend moves in with you and falls in love with you. Do you sit and contemplate? Or do you grab that girl and go?

Smith looked good in those games. No doubt. He played very well. Keap was still significantly better. Smith made some great 5-10 yd throws and occasionally down the field when there was a busted coverage. Keap made some great 25-40 yd throws in windy candlestick with the defender close by. Pinpoint type throws. The offense looked energized. The pass pro stepped up. The WRs played scramble drill. The defense stepped it up. The ST corraled Hester like he was Arnaz Battle. It was just a different team.

Alex played well in those games, but there were a few throws that Kaepernick made last night, that Alex is unable to make and therefore couldn't look that good.
