Agree that Taj likely won't be dealt unless it's a stellar trade for the Bulls. That changes over time though, his contract and skills are VERY marketable.

Amnesting Boozer this year, or next, does nothing. The Bulls will still be restricted financially with FIVE roster spots to fill, including a starting roster spot. They only time to amnesty Boozer is when Deng's contract is up, after next year.

Ummmm They would amnesty Boozer to make room to see what the have in Roc if he comes over next year. If the Bulls don't Amensty Boozer next year they won't ever use it in the meantime because they could just trade him in the last year of his contract . Isn't there a deadline on when a team can use their Amensty ? That's why everyone is suggesting The Bulls might use it on Boozer coming after the Season.

There's no way the Bulls would risk potentially paying Boozer $30 million to sit on the sidelines.

To tell you the truth, there aren't many people with a sane mind that would pay off a worker a large amount of money to not work for them anymore. It just doesn't happen anywhere tbh.

    Most people's salaries aren't guaranteed.

I know boozer's salary is guaranteed but i'm making an analogy. It's not meant to be taken literally that direct. People in general do not pay guys to not work for them anymore which is what JR would be doing in this sense given how much money he owes him. 30m+ to get boozer to not play for chicago anymore? It's very very easy to say that when you are not the one having to pay the guy but when you do have to do it, you will have 2nd thoughts about it and play it rather passively.

Because, to a team like say.... Brooklyn, or Philly, or maybe even Denver in a three-way trade.... Boozer could be a piece that gets them to the Conference Finals. He'd have a lot of value going to a pretender who thinks they're an upgrade at PF away from being a legit title contender.

I think everyone would do that trade except Milwaukee and their fans

Noah can play PF, and Deng in spurts to cover the difference.

Pending on the price, i'd make the deal. Bargs is pretty much a perfect fit offensively in Chicago (sucks he can't rebound better than Nate Robinson though)

A lot of teams would put in bids for Boozer. Solid bids of at least half his contract probably

Ice! Ice! How can we be out of ice?!?!

If/When Boozer is amnestied, he won't clear wavers unless he's hurt - if it's even legal to amnesty him at that point. Someone will pick him up.

^ Any player whose contract was signed before the new CBA is eligible to be amnestied unless they are traded to another team or if, of course, their contract runs out.
