    Celtics interested in Marcin Gortat

Orlando, Dallas, Boston and Chicago are very interested in Marcin Gortat. Sports Review
I'll take the Polish Hammer anyday!!!!

It was posted on Hoopshype with a link to a Russian news story.

    Link

    via Google translate:

Marcin Gortat - taking into account the fact that does not fit into the new offensive, Phoenix Suns and the broken negotiations on the renewal of the contract - is no longer a player, you will want to stay in the Phoenix Suns at any cost. Our findings show that raising the Pole is very interested in the club where he began his career in the NBA, the Orlando Magic. Reaching for Marcin Gortat also considering Dallas, Boston and Chicago.

Hmmmm what would we have to trade to get him. Sullinger and Bass? Probably not enough. Jeff Green cant be traded until later in the year and im not sure Phoenix would want him.

If there is a way to get him without trading KG, Pierce, or Rondo you have to strongly consider it.

I would think that there are a ton of other teams with more to offer than us that could get him.

Jeez what an opportunity to grab a legit big man.. Don't Rly know what would be an offer that's fair without ruining our team.. 1st rounder, lee, and sully or bass? I think the salaries would work out there too.

Been a Gortat fan since his Magic days and I think he'd be excellent with Doc's offensive and defensive systems... With that said I don't see DA giving Sully up since he's had a crush on him since HS...

The only one I see getting moved is Bass plus a future first... maybe Phoenix would be interested in Fab... Also whats the situation with Darko...??? He wants to go back to Europe, can he be thrown into a trade for Gortat...???

    Do your magic Danny

I think it might take Bradley to get him though, which is a tough call.

Bass, Bradley, Collins and a #1 is probably near what it would cost.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

No way we give up that much. Suns would take that deal in a second, we could do better.

It would be interesting seeing KG slide back to the 4. I wonder how him and Gortat would fit together

No way, way to much for Gortat. No way Danny does that, 0% chance.

It would be something like A. Bradley, Melo, Bass, + late 1st....At most!

The guy is good/ OK, yes he would fit in well, but dear heavens lets not make this guy the next M. Malone.

Also, I know this about us, we all love our Celtics. But we have seen that this team cannot compete and we want anything to change that/ make it competitive.

Lets not jump off the ship just yet and throw all our talent away.

Jeeez, not sure I'd give all that up for him. He is pretty good though.
