Looks like we'll have Plax back too. Maybe he can play some QB. I here he can throw a bullet. He'd thrive in the shotgun. I'm done.
I hear he isn't afraid to pull the trigger. He'll take one for the team.

But in reality I like McNabb since he's 'most like Ben' in that he has used his legs to extend plays.

Kafka isn't a bad choice when you break it down. His college offense was a 'dink and dunk' (or 'drink and drunk' at ESPN) offense what thrived on short quick accurate passes. It could help in a pinch that he's familiar with the offensive style.

I think going forward it's time to draft, not exactly a replacement to be groomed for Ben, but in the 3rd round a capable backup (thinking Feeley/Kolb mode on this) that can start in a pinch and be traded if he shines. Who knows, we might have a Farve/Elway on our hands with Ben.

As far as Tebow....no, hell no, **** no. If Ben has a bad day we will hear no end to it. As far as I'm concerned there are only two people Tebow can be a backup to and we wouldn't hear complaints: Brady and God. Otherwise there will always be the rumbles. Especially with 'Choir Boy Timmy' behind 'Bad Boy Satan Leader Ben', even though us fans know Ben has made a 180* change in his life.

On 7/20/14 we took our Calla and Pebble for a stay while on vacation. On 7/21 Calla, who is diabetic, was given 10x her insulin dosage. She wasn't found until 12 hours after being overdosed. After a week and a half of suffering we made the tough decision to put her down because of brain damage and a lack of a quality of life. She was only 7 and her breed lives until their 20's. Over half of our beloved Calla's life was stolen from us.

Yes, he's not affraid to pull the trigger, but he can also be a little trigger happy which can shoot him in the foot sometimes.

Big THX to MJ's Bulls and pheagles10 on the sig help!

Just watching Leftwich walk makes me uneasy. The guy is a walking injury. Batch may be the only back-up that is injured more than Leftwich. I thought Dixon was our answer at the back-up spot, but I guess the organization felt different. We really need to solidify our back-up QB. It was past sad when Leftwich scored that running touchdown, tripped, and without being touched..HE WAS HURT.

Hoyer makes no sense what so ever. Regardless of who is brought in theyre only a par time temporary player who will make the league minimum. It only makes sense to bring in the best available player to fill that role. Anyone still on the market will be more then thrilled to accept a league min contract offer on a SB caliber team, whos 1 injury away from them getting the start.

Aka McNabb or Garrard. No questions about it.

I think Hoyer's lack of years in the league make his minimum less than much older veterans like McNabb and Garrard. Not sure what the numbers are but that's my guess. McNabb and Garrard are guys wouldn't be brought in to back up someone like Charlie Batch, they'd be brought in to start which makes no sense whatsoever for our team.

Hoyer is exactly what you'd expect the Steelers to sign as insurance. Not too young, not too old, hasn't done anything good or bad in the league. He's the kind of player we always tend to sign in situations like this.

I don't know how I feel about Hoyer to tell you the truth. I think we should cut ties with Leftwich, let Batch start as long as he can until Ben is back, and groom a future Charlie Batch. That's why I really thought Palko would be perfect. He's decently talented, great attitude, high football IQ and a good teammate. But he is also like Charlie in that he's a hometown hero so he'd be proud to be the backup QB for us that whole time.

Also we tried to get Dennis Dixon first, he declined by saying he'd rather stay on the Raven's practice squad...
