    Chelsea SACK Roberto Di Matteo!

    @SkySportsNews:
    Chelsea sack Roberto Di Matteo - #SSN now
    I find Chelsea to be such a joke and don't think this is warranted at all. I hate Chelsea with a passion, but I liked Di Matteo. Bad decision.

    @ESPNFC:
    Statement from Chelsea's official website: "The club will be making an announcement shortly regarding a new first team manager."
    Expected to be Benitez. Might possibly be Guardiola.

    Also this:

    @barcastuff:
    Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has voted for Guardiola, Prandelli and Di Matteo for the FIFA Coach of the Year 2012 award. [marca tv]

    Yeah I don't think Guardiola will go there, I only mentioned him because for a few months Chelsea was one of the teams people were speculating Pep would join. As of right now it looks most likely to be Benitez.

    Dumb move on Chelsea's part, the guy goes through his first real slump of his career after winning the fa cup and champions league and they sack him. Just doesnt make sense to me. I think it has more to do with there lack of quality defenders and a striker, rather then the coach.

    benitez will only finish out the year IMO. roman wants guardiola. However, with all the moves that city has done at the top(ferran and Txiki), they will try and bring in guardiola.

    roman never wanted to make di matteo permanent. he was kinda forced because di matteo won the champions league. the first chance he got he was going to fire him. roman thinks he won the champions with a lot of luck

    to win, you have to have lady luck on your side

    He reminds me of al Davis in the sense that he is letting his ego get in the way of the team and that he values winning above all else

    SSN reports Benitez to be appointed. Can't say I hate the hire. But noone is going to win with just Torres and Sturridge up front.
