If you didn't learn anything from last night and the history of all sports, on any given day any pro team can beat another pro team.

Pistons beat the Celtics and Portland beat Chicago. It's just reality and any good coach will always tell their team its one game at a time.

Is it human nature to look ahead at the schedule, hell yea, but my question is how can you predict anything when injuries happen, back to backs happen and its always harder to win on the road.

A poster did this last yr and we went south, hopefully this won't be repeated.
This thread is bad Karma. I really dislike it.

I don't mind making a prediction before the season starts but this is something else. I never believe it is good practice to expect wins. Much better to be pleasantly surprised or to follow the cliche 'take each game as it comes'.

    Bad Karma...

6-2 because of the bucks and the Rockets. I would hate to see the NETS take us out thats a toss up. The Rockets will be amped up because of Lin and the bucks always give us trouble. like Jennings shoots 10-10 from 3. BUT! Our defense is a ton better than past years so maybe Im wrong? Wish we had Shump to guard Monta and James Harden.

Honestly, Dallas doesnt have Dirk yet. They are simply okay team. I find it funny that you listed Milwaukee and Brooklyn as "okay" teams....you know that both teams are #2 and #3 in the Eastern Conference.

I really don't think Felton(who has big chip on his shoulder) and Melo are going to let a Lin led young team stay in the game. I think Felton is going to be in Lins grill the whole night long to try and prove a point that he belongs here .

also think this is a game we need to try and put Brewer on Harden with help and force someone else to beat us.

..and I may be in the minority here, but i truely believe that Melo did not want Lin back in NY. He took away from Melo being the Top Gun.

..other than that..I am with everyone else here...ONE GAME AT A TIME!!

ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!! Any given day any elite team can lose to a bottom team, but win against an elite team. That's why you play the games. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Although we look and analyze who are good/bad opponents on our schedule, you also have to take into consideration that although we have improved as a team, for some reason we play to the level of our competition.

For some reason we just can't pull away in a game against bad teams and we play too easy and give them breathing room to stay in the game. So although we are going to be playing "bad" teams on paper, it's those teams that I worry about sometimes.

i hate these types of threads. how about we just take it one game at a time and stop worrying about games down the stretch? no game will come easy.

Things look so good, but they can come crashing down... We need to look at it one game at a time. Thinking to much into it and saying were going to win easy games is nonsence and tend to be disapointed most of the time, players tend to have a good game and take over no matter what team they are and some players happen to suck that game.. Remember these are professional athletes they are there for a reason.. NO game is a easy game..

You never know what can happen.. Right now I'm looking at tomorrows game vs New Orleans.

Why is it so necessary that we do "one game at a time". I'm tired of this. We are rooting for a basketball team, not splitting an atom. The idea that it is "bad karma" to think ahead and believe the best about your team is retarded as well. Those of us that were around through the terrible years and stayed faithful to our team have something to be excited about. We do not have to be "realistic" about that. Realistic is something that I have to be at work every day. You can be as fanatical as you want about your team. Karma doesn't exist, so it will work out OK. What's the worse thing that will happen- people in the NBA forum will think we like our team too much? Screw them and anyone else that wants you to temper your enthusiasm.
