Why is it that his rookie year he shot .671 from the fee throw line and .590 for 5 years straight, BUT this year and last year His around .480
What the hell happened here?

his back. you shoot FT's without jumping and if your back is stiff it's hard to get the proper motion.
also he needs to shoot with his left, he's left handed ffs.

It looks like he is just one of those guys like (Shaq / Wilt / Russell) who can't master FT's.
He should try shooting them underhanded.
I always wanted Shaq to shoot them that way.

Yes, Somebody who agrees with me. It may be embarassing at first, But if his percentage skyrockets...who cares! Dwight is playing some good ball, Imagine if he could get to 65 or 70%. I read somewhere in this forum that he is being coached to shoot free throws. maybe he is tweaking a bit his shooting form. it may take some time before he gets used to it

FT's are just repetition. Need to put the hours in. If he averaged 67% 1 year, he should be able to get near that again

I agree with you somewhat... FT are consistent repetition & confidence. He shoots FT differently every 3rd shot. You can almost see him say "please go in" or "just don't airball" when he shoots. Originally Posted by thenaj17
