Well now mr. DAVIS blame yourself should've hired the GM under the stipulation of Hue Jackson keeping his job and allowing him to hire his own coaches. We were heading in the right direction with back to back 8 win seasons. I'm not saying Allen is bad I'm just saying Hue had his hands tied by your father. I garuntee we would have a better O Cordinator not and a hint is he's on staff and has no power because of lame ol Knapp. Also Hue had to go with Bresnehan and we all know he was terrible. All we truely needed was a D cordinator. Long term the new regime will be fine but until the players fit the new schemes we are screwed!

“I’m patient, but I want to see progress. Not regression,” Davis said. “I’m embarrassed, pissed, disappointed and I take full responsibility.”
And indeed he should. He was the one who pushed for Hue Jackson to be fired and bringing in this so called defensive minded coach. He was the one who refused to admit his father's mistake in bringing back Bresnahan. And he was the one who repeated his father's mistake by bringing back Knapp.

Knapp wasn't Al's mistake. Al always gave his coaches the latitude to hire their own people and install their own offensive philosophy. He gave the head coaches plenty of rope on that side of the ball. I am also not so sure Knapp is the problem this season.

Reece is a quantum leap over McFadden in the 2012 offense, the offense looks as though it can play downhill. Carson needs to take better care of the football.

Breshenhan was hired prior to Al Davis's death, Hue Jackson could have demoted him when he was the quasi GM, but did not, none of which has anything to do with Mark Davis repeating his fathers mistakes.

Firing Allen after one season would be doing exactly that.

Even though we gave up an arm and a leg to get Palmer he was not the reason why we didn't go to the playoffs in 2011. The defense let this team down as it's done for the last ten years. When does it end?

The only tie to the past is now a handful of players at a few key positions.
House cleaning will resume after the season.....

You know that Brees didn't really throw for all that much yardage today. He only threw for 219 yards but he completed 74% of his passes. That's what's unacceptable! Our DBs are good enough even with Mitchell but they are not functioning as a unit. This is a coaching problem.

Sometimes I think about stuff too much, but you have to wonder, the players know the bloodletting isn't over. I wonder how much this is affecting the cohesiveness and the level of effort.

Mark Davis has the power to do what Jerry Buss just did in Los Angeles with the Lakers. He has the power to overule his GM. And he may need to do so, The question is....Will He?

Just like with Lakers and Mike Brown....The Raiders have stopped listening and it's showing. So just like when he used his braintrust to pick the GM and the coaches. He needs to consult them again to see which ones to keep and which ones go. Same goes for the players.

I think it's a question on who ordered Jackson's firing. We were going in the right direction until this defensive genius came along.
