These recent mock drafts (good god it's December...) all picking Joeckel at the Eagles spot has sorta got me thinking, and at this point I'm on board. A line of Peters-Mathis-Kelce-Herremans-Joeckel with Watkins, Kelly, Scott, and Reynolds as the backups is really solid. And if this year's taught us anything, it's the value of having playable backups.
IF this is what happens, I'm not opposed I guess.

Is there a reason for Watkins sucking?

He was a 50 year old fireman with no experience when we drafted him?

There's a chance that he could bounce back next year when Mudd leaves. Look at Mathis, he was a journeyman before Mudd. Now he's a top G in the NFL. Perhaps it'll flip flop under a new O-line coach? Maybe Danny boy wasn't compatible with Mudd's system? One thing is for sure though, this team blows.

I can't imagine we will be keeping Scott, he's a FA at the end of the season. I could also see them getting rid of Watkins to add some cap room since Kelly can play either tackle spot and guard and Reynolds can play anywhere in the interior. They also have Tenant and Vandervelve on the practice squad who can play multiple spots

I've always been in favor of drafting Joeckel. If you have a dominate offensive line it can make any running game and passing game look so much better.

Yes, he can play all of the interior positions. Guys a rookie on a really bad team, I think he's fine as a backup down the road

    tasteless humor...

I wonder if Watkins would block better if the Qb was on fire.

So? He's a backup, not the future of the franchise. Really doesn't matter how old he is

I'm all for Joeckel, especially when you're going to have a QB in Foles who has half a year experience.

In regards to Te'o, I think he'll be a good player, but it's not worth trying to make him into an OLB. I remember ESPN saying he only had two missed tackles all year during the Heisman broadcast.

He woulda been ****ed in Washington...
Update: Turns out he was ****ed in Kansas City too
