How is anything I said misconstruing what he said? The reason I only brought up the size issue is because that's the only part of his post I disagree with. I agree, there isn't a 3-4 OLB that is good enough to go at number 4. I agree, the front 7 on D and the OL are the key to winning. I merely disagreed with the emphasis he placed on being "big" which, as I said, I interpreted as meaning height since he was listing various players' heights. Like I said, sure, size is good, but its more important that we bring in effective players rather than just bring in big players. If they are big AND effective, sure thats great, bring them in. I however think that size should be near the bottom of the evaluation criteria in most cases, other than Chicago and Arizona I cant think of any notable defenses that are particularly big relative to other teams.
I also would disagree that our defense has been thrown around, yes, that was the case in 2011 and a few other years here and there, but throughout the Reid era there were many occasions where we were a top tier defense and we were never particularly big, instead we utilized speed to our advantage.
Nothing I said was asinine, just for whatever reason the two of you took offense to what I said. I apologize, it wasn't my intention to insult anyone, merely disagreeing and offering the logic behind my own opinion
