Miami Marlins Sign LF Juan Pierre

Pierre, 35, hit .307/.351/.371 with 37 steals for the Phillies this season.

Its a one - year agreement worth 1.6 million dollars.

With Reyes and Bonifacio in Toronto, Pierre will be called up to fill the void at leadoff.

I guess it's borderline thread worthy. There's a "Minor signings/trade" thread for stuff like this, fyi.

Good signing for the Marlins but he will probably platoon because he can't hit LHP anymore.

He had a 1.7 fWAR last year, nothing of major significance.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I figured it thread worthy since he will get playing time and got 6M Dollars.

He still gets it done on the bases, I've always been a fan of Juan Pierre.

You ever seen him throw? I wanted Pierre in Toronto as a platoon player before we signed Cabrera but he's definitely nothing to write home about.

As long as he puts up some RBI's, the only stat that proves how good a hitter is

No need to go to the woods to have one around, just go to Marlins Park in May

This is true, Miami's ball park gives you all the privacy you need.
