    Branch/Malcolm Williams released

    Tom E. Curran ‏@tomecurran
The Patriots have released Deion Branch and Malcolm Williams. Greg Salas and Aqib Talib are added to the 53. #PatriotsTalk

Looking forward to seeing if Salas is ready to contribute. I assume Branch may be back later (he's a little banged up now) if no one picks him up through waivers.

    He was signed 28 times.

He doesn't suck. He has a limited skill set.

Salas is almost like welker and Edelman type of receiver , that's why I said I rather have plax then salas . He had 45 rec 720 yards and 8tds with Sanchez throwing the ball.

Plax is almost 35.5 years old, and hasn't had a really good season since 2007. Nobody else is bothering with him, can't see why we should.

At least Salas didn't shoot himself in the leg?

If we wanted/needed Plax he would already be on the team.

Branch will likely be back at some point.
