Red Sox received Kyle Kaminska from PIT

Red Sox acquired RHP Kyle Kaminska from the Pirates.
Kaminska is the player to be named later in the Zach Stewart trade. The 24-year-old righty posted a 4.19 ERA over 81 2/3 innings this past season in the minors.

At first glance, his last name looked like "Kevin Kaminski" --- The great Portland Pirates center who, at 5'9", still got into at least one fight every night and lead the team to at least one championship. He was a legit celebrity in the greater Portland area, answered all his fan mail and was a gentleman to all the fans who approached him. Just an all around great dude. There were news reports about how many stitches he had in his face (his face resembled Chucky in the later movies) and how his career was hampered by migraines from all the concussions.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread... but what the hell, ya know?

    Hope he's great.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

Haven't really had the time today to look up a scouting report on this guy.

As soon as I get the chance, I'll post some links.

Check out Kevin Kaminski's bio instead.

He was traded after he wasn't selected in the Rule 5.

The Pirates got him for Gorkys Hernandez this year, and before the trade he basically looked like a AA washout. The Bucs moved him to the rotation and the results were decent enough. Not sure it's equal value for Stewart, but we'll see.
