    Technically, his Daddy did.

But I guess I'll have to settle for criticizing him.

He played some CF out of need, not because he belonged there. Colvin wasn't particularly fast. Didn't get good reads. And didn't take good routes. DeJesus is a better CF than him and really he should only be playing CF in a pinch.

Then Colvin could have played RF.

Either way, while not particularly great, Colvin was much better than many of the players who appeared in the outfield for the 2012 Chicago Cubs.

Hoyer has stated he wants Dejesus in RF. No way they start the year with a Campana / Sappelt CF platoon. Hopefully the front office makes a deal for a CF & 3b at the winter meetings next week.

I'll laugh a lot. Because I know a lot of people will start crossing over to my side of the line after a season like that.

If there is a season like that...I think it changes the line. I'd rather let brett jackson be miserable everyday than watch tony campana play.

With Tom Rickets being one of them. Thousands of empty, lowest TV ratings in years, thus driving down ad rates big time. If it's as bad as last season, next off-season will be 2007 all over again. Minus John McDonough offering two needless extra years to the big name.

As things look right now, it probably won't be as bad as last season, because last season involved a lot of negative variance. But it's definitely within the range of possibilities.

I think adding actual mlb pitchers to the team will help alleviate some of the awful that was casey coleman, chris volstad, etc, syndrome

So far, all we've done is replace Dempster and Maholm.

and if they stay for a whole season...that would improve the team ML record overall (most likely)

Does anyone expect them to stay for a full season? Or if they do, for Garza and Samardzija too? We're setting up for another trade deadline selloff.

Well Garza only started 18 games, so losing him at the trade deadline isn't much different than last year
