I have said our team just doesn't worth al and millsap one needs to go. both are offensive players who struggle at different things on defense. both will/would make a great second option on a team, but we dont' have a 1st option

You could start with a Milsap for Calderon... Just to see how it works for this season

that doesn't make any sense unless the raps add a ton. millsap is considerably better he just doesn't fit with al in the frontcourt

I'm curious as to how Millsap does not fit with Jefferson? Those two guys alone carried the team last year into the playoffs.

because we were like 22nd ranked on defense. we were efficient on offense, but we were not good on defense

Call me Crazy but I would like to see us resign both Al and Millsap. The key though is to have Millsap come off the bench, it has to happen. Favors is too good on the defensive end. Al is a scoring powerhouse, Millsap is clutch and would dominate 2nd units, Kanter still isn't there yet to earn any more minutes. If Ty didn't empty the bench we could have run up to score to 30+ over Houston. What we don't need to do right now is panic, we have a good team, lets cheer them on rather freak out over each road loss......

Actually we are ranked 13th on defense and 13th on offense. So that's a little different then 21st. We should start prefacing every thread with "overreact"

Am I the only one that thinks they aren't really running an offense? Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the win last night, but the obvious is: Houston was tired, Harden was sick, and the Jazz played with energy once again at home. The energy helps create something out of nothing. I still think there are problems. The players are more motivated by a demanding crowd, and that crowd is gone on the road. I love the team as always, but I can't see them rise above mediocrity, and that bothers me.

name a team that really does run an offense though? I mean I watch the heat alot since they are also one of my favorite teams, and their offense is backscreens and wade/lebron pounding the rock at the top of the circle going off of screens. What we run is not that different from a team like the spurs the difference we just don't have the personnel the spurs do namely parker and ginobili

I like to first state that I'm a diehard Knick Fan and general fan of the NBA as a whole so I follow all teams:

Utah could become a SERIOUS contender if they could somehow get a dominant player at PG or SG/SF. Their frontcourt is so devastating when you look at it. This team needed a James Harden type BAD. Somehow they have to flip Kanter and/or Favors in a megadeal for someone that can light it up from the perimeter and yet be a facilitator at times. A jack of all traded but with above average shooting ability.

Could you imagine what a Jamal Crawford could do for your team and that's just on the low-end scale.

Off the top of my head the team I would strongly at for a trade is Sacramento.

I'm not a fan of Alec Burks... to me I would try to make some sort of package that involved Utah getting Marcus Thornton ideally or settle and take Tyreke Evans off their hands if you think Evans can develop a serious jumper. AND I would take Jimmer Fredette.

    I'm no cap specialist but...

    Thornton/Evans
    Fredette
    Jason Thompson
    for

    Favors/Kanter
    Burks
    Marvin Williams

Sacramento has to clear a path for Thomas Robinson to play but if they got Favors or Kanter... they might turn around and try to flip him for a future asset etc since they're tied to DeMarcus Cousins being the franchise.

It might be all fantasy but I'm just saying, I think Utah is SOOOOOOOOOOOO CLOSE to being a championship contender. More than people realize.

Monta Ellis is another ideal guy to target.

Not trading Favors or Kanter... I dont see us trading Marvin after we just got him. And Burks... Not to mention I dont want the Kings trash. Thats worse than normal NBA trash.

Anyone seeing the rumors for Al to the spurs?

favors is easily the most untouchable guy on the roster. the jazz wouldn't trade him for the entire kings roster.
