I don't think anyone who is comparing Pujols and Stanton is comparing them on anything else but ability.

Obviously Stanton needs a much larger body of work to be the player Pujols is but remember Stanton hit 37 homers in only 123 games last year (in one of the more difficult pitcher's ballpark in baseball no less)

Stanton's ceiling is unbelievably high, he's arguably the best power hitter in the game right now at the age of 22 years old.

That's why the comparison with Pujols is made.

I agree, he is awesome and his potential is exciting. My pint is that many players have shown great potential and them faded or flattened out to less than stellar performance. I seriously doubt that will be the case with Stanton - he is a beast. He does have many years to go before he is in the same class as Pujols. When he bats over .330 like pujols for a few seasons then we can get excited..ehe will be fun to watch

    Rangers: Profar, Olt, Martín

    Mariners: Walker, Hultzen, Franklin

    Pirates: Cole, Taillon, Marte

    Diamondbacks: Bauer, Skaggs, Davidson

    Orioles: Bundy, Machado, Delmonico

    Royals: Myers, Starling, Odorizzi
Want to trade with the Jays again? To acquire Stanton we would take on high salary players like Escobar and Nolasco.

Anthony Rizzo, Jeff Samardzija, Javier Baez, Josh Vitters/Brett Jackson, and Wellington Castillo.

Like everyone else, I expect a no.

The only deal I might consider in that bunch is the Orioles, and the Rangers need to add on more.

Rays could do Matt Moore, Ben Zobrist, Taylor Guerrieri, Goeddel, and Jake Hager if they wanted.

Stanton becomes a member of the Red Sox Wednesday night. You've all been warned.

That could be said of anybody, but remember the Marlins want young talent that is under team control for a few years, nobody in the Red Sox organization comes to mind except Middlebrooks.

Well, If the Red sox offered Doubront, Bogaerts, Owens, Webster and Bradley for Stanton and Nolasco / Morrison, that wouldnt at least get the ball rolling?

    In all seriousness.

    Taveras and Kelly for Stanton

I think that is a reasonable offer.

Boston could get him, I just don't think they want to move the prospects for it. I wish we would, though, I think Stanton is exactly what we need now. Oh well...
