Taveras and Kelly for Stanton

I think that is a reasonable offer.

They're looking for something like 3 top prospects; or something of that value. Kelly is an SIERA overperformer who wasn't close to a top spec. He is a #4 or 5 SP.

If Taveras and Kelly would do it then Bogaerts + Doubront would too, and trust me that wouldn't.

Taveras + Martinez + Kelly + Carpenter (maybe) might though.

I think that Taveras + Martinez + Kelly sounds like a ton now, but would end up being a steal. Stanton is a future HOF'er if he stays healthy. In the next decade, there will be many Kelly's and a few Martinez's in the Cards system, but there probably will be only one Stanton in the MLB. That's why his price is so high. Everything is cyclical. You trade away specs, but if you dont lose picks via free agency, your farm will be good in a few years again. Any team with Stanton is a lucky team.
